CHAPTER 228 – SUMMER IN ITALY
![]()

Was all set and ready to go to Switzerland, then only we decided to do some groceries first at The Bennet which is located not far away from our place. In fact, so near we only need 5 minutes to walk there. But since we are lazy moozey Malaysians, we drove the car instead!

Fresh vegetables in the supermarket

Plastic bags and gloves are provided.

And then we also went to…
Carrefour!

Tubes of tomato paste from Carrefour! Why we don’t have this in Malaysia?

Pistachios to snack!

Bought bottles of mineral water.

Honestly, I feel like I’ve migrated there already. Grocery shopping and staying in a small cosy town in Italy, can you imagine?

Shooo heavy

Till my next post on what I did in Switzerland!

P/s: It’s gross I know, but guess what is this

For those who guessed correct…
I have a little gift for you from Italy !
There will only be one lucky winner, do include an interesting sentence along with your answer and I will choose the best.
Good luck!

This is so fun! I haven’t been to Italy despite being to Europe twice within six months in 2010 and 2011.
Looking forward to more travel posts.

Wow twice within six months! I’m jealous now.
Which part of Europe did you go?

Well, I always stop by Amsterdam for a couple of days. Last trip I went for nearly a month so it was to the Eastern part of EU, places like Latvia and Georgia.
I wish I spent some time in Italy though. It looks like you’re having fun.

Amsterdam! Can’t tell you how very jealous I am now. GRrr…. you must be having lots of fun there if you know what i mean. lol
Well come Italy! Crazy summer sale, and I love all their antique buildings here. The only thing I’m uncomfortable with is they don’t quite speak English

Did you eat bugs bunny? Italy looks awesome.

Boo hoo hoo… it has to be the poor rabbit….
Can’t we eat carrots instead of the bunny?

Slaughtered and skinned; Packaged and wrapped; Pet it was; Rabbit meat it is.

Since 2011 is the Chinese Year Of The Rabbit.
I am going to guess rabbit with the skin taken off,
which is what it looks like.

I gonna get it a try! hmmm.. will it be a guinea pig?
Guinea pig is a cute creature and it is not a PIG!

I think it is Pangolin meat. Pangolins are in great demand in China because their meat is considered a delicacy and some Chinese believe pangolin scales reduce swelling, promote blood circulation and help breast-feeding women produce milk. Pangolin meat are also eaten in many parts of Africa.
